Sling Machine

Sukhjit and I both got very creative and decided to power out sling machine with air. Even though the idea may seem simple it took quite the time to make the funnel a perfect size for the cotton ball. During our test trials are cotton ball went from 1-8 feet which surprised me and Sukhjit since we excepted 1-3 feet most of the time. But sadly when we used the sling machine in front of the class it failed and got stuck near the end. In order to make it better we could make the inside of the tube much more smoother and use compressed air to launch the cotton ball farther.

Unit Conversion

In this project we worked with SI units and with American measuring system. We made a presentation to show how to work with SI units and with American measuring in a fun way. We went deeper into the metric system by explaining about centi, milli, and more units. We also explained about exponents.

Accuracy is very bad with this one.

Color Wheel

This is my color wheel and I tried to keep the colors simple as possible but that kind of got difficult as I tried to find other type of colors.

Monochromatic Colors: All colors of a single hue(shade, tints, tones)

Analguous Colors: Colors that are adjacent toward each other on the color wheel. One being primary or secondary and the other two being tertiary. 

Complimentary Colors: Pairs of color when combined cancel each other out.

Color Triads: Uses 3 colors which are equally away from each other in a triangle.. 

Split Complementary: Uses 2 colors which are adjacent from the complimentary. 

Final Demo Day Project

This is my prototype for my Air Conditioners that would help the school's in a big time. At the moment the prototype might not look like much but eventually it will be a full functioning Air Conditioner.

Concept Sketching

Since everyone in this school have been affected by the ACs my problem is to fix them by hiring a mechanic or simply just buy a new one. So I drew up a design for new ACs. 

Air Conditioning

One major problem in our school, Washington High School, are the ACs especially in the E building. During the summer it can get up to 80 degrees around 8 AM and this can lead to uncomfortable conditions for the students in the classroom. As a student who has experienced that last year my solution is to fix the ACs. One way we can fix it is by repairing the ACs. Another way is by buying new ACs so they won't break again quickly. 

What emotions do lines communicate?

Lines can show us how the person feels when they were drawing. Such as jagged lines could mean they are nervous or mad.

Problems in the world to fix

Some problems to fix in this world of ours is the internet. I believe that everyone should be able to get up to 50mbs at their location. The problem having with slow internet is that it can take a long time for a video or movie to load which may cause some frustration for the user. Another problem I believe that should be fixed is the AC in the E buildin of Washington High School located in Fremont, California. As I have experienced it is very uncomfortably hot in during class time which can distract us from learning. In addition, I think that obesity is a major problem in this world especially in 'MURICA where burgers and hot dogs rule the land.

I like playing Minecraft so I put up their default skin of the person. Some of my personal goals is to get creative in this class so I can practice my art skills and I want to get better at AutoInventor so I can start my making own shapes eventually.

Product Improvement

For our product Vijay and I decided to improve the one of the most important machines in this solar system. This machine can help you lose weight while having a great time exercising. This product has a built-in HD screen, has Internet, USB and charger ports. However, the Internet and TV only activate get a certain amount of minutes at a certain speed. The faster/larger you run, the faster the download speed. 

Bridge Design

Brainstorming ideas was helpful since you can write down ideas that popped up in your mind and keep track of them. When everyone is done writing down their ideas we can share ideas with us and pick the best idea for us. Testing our idea out helped us out by seeing if there was any problems with the design so we can fix it later. Some characteristics of a good team would be good teamwork, good ideas, communication, and respecting everyone. If there is no good teamwork than the team will go nowhere in their designs.
