Final Reflection Post
For the final project I decided to make a pokeball that was originally supposed to be sent to a 3D printer, but I decided someone else to make it in this class. Even though I made isometric drawings, I decided to not to include them since they are basically all spheres, due to the pokeballs drawings. What I think when a product comes from a machine, I expect perfect with little to no mistakes. It is different from a human constructing it since many errors can occur from humans. Working drawings are always necessary since without the correct designs or measurements your product can be much more different then you wanted it. 3D animated assembly models of an object can be used in the design process by making it much easier to see how the product will look like to the manufacturer. For going beyond the design process Although I didn't send my STL files of the pokeball I expected a pokeball with the correct colors and having a smooth texture. Also it most likely won't be that big since if I make it too big the price will increase making it too expensive for me to purchase. For the project, we had to fabricate an another person's design and I decided to fabricates Williams. William's design was to make a donut. I decided to make it out of cardboard since it was a perfect way to make a strong sturdy donut. I personally found this project to be fun since I "Cadded" a 3D model of a pokeball and someone made it for me. Although William made a pokeball by painting a tennis ball, unfortunately the finish product got lost. :(
